Monday we begin our Vacation Bible School. This is one of the most important events that we have all year. We will have the chance to share the gospel with hundreds of kids from all across our area.

Because we have done it year after year, we take for granted the fact that the kids that we minister to know all about the Bible. Even in the Bible Belt, we now live in a society that is largely Biblically illiterate. They do not know the stories and do not have an understanding of the gospel.

This is a mission field and the work that hundreds of people in our church will do is critical to the spiritual development of our community.

We must take every opportunity to share this with people around us. You can be one of the best assets that we have. You should be sharing the news of this ministry with those in your family, neighborhood and workplace. This is not just another Bible school. It will be the only chance that we have with certain families.

Let me ask you to make it a matter of prayer and priority. Allow yourself to be used in terms of making sure that kids are here. We can always use extra help in caring for these kids. If you have the time, there is certainly something for you to do. We will give you the opportunity to sign up on Sunday. Pray that God will use this in a great way next week.
