5 Observations
Yesterday as we looked at the parable that Jesus told in Luke 16, we discovered the value that the Lord puts on our willingness to be investors in the Kingdom of God. The world works so hard that so many things that will make no difference in eternity. We, on the other hand, have the chance to use our time, talent, resources, opportunities, and abilities to make an eternal difference.
I shared with the church 5 observations that we find in this parable.
- The Lord expects us to look for opportunity in the midst of crisis.
- If we are shrewd, we will follow His plan.
- We are to use our resources to introduce others to Christ
- How we use what we have is the test of what He will entrust to us.
- He wants us to make a complete commitment honoring Him with all we have.
When we take an inventory of all that we have and what we are able to do, exciting opportunities are in front of us. There many people that will spend their day doing what they believe to be “important” things and yet have no lasting value. Following His plan is the only way out of the crisis we way and it is the only way that we can make a lasting difference.
As we move toward our celebration of the resurrection, we should keep that at the center of our thinking.
