Every year during our Christmas Eve service, we give people the opportunity to make a gift to missions. We encourage people to wrap their gift and bring it and put it under the tree. There will be large boxes and small boxes, cards and plain envelopes.  This is meaningful for several reasons. It reminds us that Christmas is really about the birth of Christ and that He deserves our very best. That’s where the name comes from.  He should be at the top of our list.  It gives us the opportunity to participate in some great missions efforts. It is a way that we remind ourselves, as well as our families, what our priorities should be.

It is also a way that we teach our children through the symbol of gift giving what is truly important. Our Christmas Eve services are always a tremendous highlight.  Not only are they a great time of remembrance, celebration, and worship for you and your family, it is also a great tool for you to reach out to people who need the Lord.  During this time of the year, there are many people who are interested in being religious, but have no real relationship with Christ.  Let me encourage you to invite your friends and family to these services at either 5:30 or 11:15 p.m.
