I Am Trusting God
Like so many others, I am standing in line to vote. The turnout is certainly going to be overwhelming. As a people, we will make some very important decisions on both the local and national levels. This election will have more serious ramifications for Christians and for the American people at large than any election in modern times. One thing I know for sure, regardless of the outcome, I am trusting God.
While I love our country, my faith is certainly not in a political system, candidate, or party. My faith is in Him.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we must always remember that we are involved in this process in obedience to Him. I pray that we might make the right decisions, but regardless of the outcome, I will pray for our leaders and for our country that somehow through all of this, we might have a greater commitment as a people to the principles to which we were founded.
As I said on Sunday, elections take on a different perspective when you serve a king; and with high expectations and great confidence, I am putting my trust in Him.
