Right on Time

Sunday afternoon I had to travel to do an Evangelism banquet at First Baptist Naples, Florida. I was on a tight schedule. When I got to the airport, I found that they had me leaving from a different city, so I had no flight. I was to connect in Charlotte so I jumped in my car and drove to Charlotte.

When I got to Charlotte, I was already out of the computer because I had missed the flight in another city. I had to buy another ticket. I managed to get to the gate and it looked like I was going to be fine. We left the gate and before we got to the runway, the pilot came on and said we had mechanical trouble and we were going back to the gate. It took about an hour to fix it and we were on our way.

We got to Fort Meyers and it was about a 30 minute drive to the church. They had rearranged the program to give me some time to get there. I walked in and heard part of a testimony and then got up to speak. It was a great group of people.

When I got off the plane I bragged on the efficiency of the flight personnel but I told someone that the reason we were able to get it done so quickly was that several hundred people were waiting to hear a guy they had never met talk to them about sharing Christ. God is so good! It was a very quick trip but a great opportunity.
