31 years
Today is our 31st wedding anniversary. The Lord blessed me with a great wife that has been such a meaningful part of my life. She is a great woman and I love her very much. The Lord knew that I needed someone very special to put up with me. She is a wonderful wife and mother. She has been an asset to me in every area of life.
I sometimes joke with couples that are celebrating an anniversary by saying that one of them gets 2 years of credit for every year of marriage because they have to put up with their partner. When she married me, she should have negotiated to 3 years of credit for every 1.
I am confident that I would not have gotten very far without her in my life. The time has gone very quickly for me. It seems like only yesterday when I was trying my best to impress her.
She is wonderful with people and she is willing to do whatever it takes. She has never sought the limelight but I can assure you that she has been a blessing to so many in the life of our church. She is a model partner.
She is special to my ministry but she is precious to me. If there is anything good that has come out of my life, she had a major part in it by being such a wonderful wife. She loves to have a good time but I can say without question that I love her more today than when we married 31 years ago.
