Most of us would like to think that we have a plan and that our desire is to follow that plan. Part of the process is making a list of the various steps the plan is going to take. You want to move step by step.

The problem is that life is filled with interruptions. We have a tendency to think of this as bad thing and many times it is a problem. But lately I have been thinking about the fact that sometimes God interrupts us with opportunity.

We have trained ourselves to stay focused on what we are doing and anything that interferes with that is bad. That is not always the case. Yes, there are things that cause us problems, but sometimes in the midst of all that we are doing, we are interrupted by opportunity.

You are interrupted by an opportunity to share your faith, say an encouraging word or perform an act of kindness or love. You did not see it coming, but it is there.

Usually we are spending our time trying to be wary of those things that would interrupt us, but we should also be looking for those opportunities. The Lord is in the business of providing those opportunities and you do not want to miss them.
