Andrew and Jessica’s wedding was a great time for our families on Saturday. I have done hundreds of weddings but I can say that it is different when it your kid. I kept telling Andrew that he did not have to be nervous while trying to hide my own case of nerves.

I told him he did not have to remember anything and that I would take care of anything that happened. While I was saying that I was trying to hold it together myself. Having Jay Strack there was a tremendous help to me. Not only is he special to us, but having him do the first part gave me time to calm down.

Standing in front of me, Andrew and Jessica did very well. We tried our best to honor the Lord and we had a good time. I think that is the way that you measure any wedding.

It was a time of great joy for us. Laura and I are wondering what we are going to talk about now that the wedding is past. For months it has been a part of our conversation everyday.

There was a time when we thought the day would never get here and then it was on top of us. It was a great experience and now we have to remember what I said in the ceremony. Even though we have been thinking about it for months, this is not the end, it is only the beginning.
