My son Andrew and his fiancé Jessica are getting married this Saturday. They have been engaged since December, 06. They have spent months planning the wedding and now it is here.

Jessica is a wonderful girl and we are so excited that they have found each other. The Simpsons are an active part of our church and we are delighted that Andrew will have such a great set of in-laws.

People ask me if I will be nervous. I have done a bunch a weddings over the years and I have said this to every single couple. “I know that you are going to be nervous but don’t worry, I can assure you that I will not be nervous.” In this situation those could be considered famous last words.

Jay Strack is coming to help with the wedding. That gives me some consolation, but you never know what Jay is going to do.

I will share with you some of my feelings in the next few days. I can tell you that we are spending time attending to last minute details, wondering if we have forgotten anything, and having a lot of memories.

Many of you have been through this experience but this is a first for me. It is a great experience but you are not sure how you are going to handle it.. I can tell you that is foreign territory for me. One thing is for sure, the clock is ticking!
