Recently I had the opportunity to hear Pat Williams, Senior Vice President of Orlando Magic, speak to a group of pastors. Pat began his career as the General Manager of the Spartanburg Phillies. He was talking to us about the pursuit of wisdom and he gave us six principles that he learned from R. E. Littlejohn, who was a great Christian leader in Spartanburg a number of years ago. The principles are worth remembering.

1. Control what you can and let go of everything else
2. Be patient
3. You need to have experience
4. Keep it simple
5. Don’t run from your problems
6. Pay attention to the little things

Pat’s a great speaker and had a remarkable career in sports management. During that time, he had an incredible witness for the Lord Jesus. I thought I would share those principles with you because I’m sure you are going to have the change to apply them in your life today.
