Last week we put out our latest edition of our “Prayer on the Edge” prayer guide. This is a wonderful tool. It is designed to help you pray for the entire ministry of our church.

It helps you focus on the big picture of the kingdom and how we want the Lord to use the ministry of our church. There are several ways that you can use it.

1. As you look through the guide you will be reminded of the many areas in which we are working and will help you have a balance in your prayer life.

2. You can start where the guide tells you to start and simply read through the guide during your prayer time. It will help you broaden your view of the kingdom and help you develop your prayer time.

3. You can do as many do and use it as a tool as you pray with your family or a prayer partner.

So many times in our lives we have the tendency to only pray about the things that concern us. We are busy telling God what we want Him to do in our lives. Certainly the Lord is interested in every part of our life, but we should also have a concern for His church and for a lost world.

We have politicians telling us how they are going to fix our culture. We have humanist philosophers trying to show us the way. We all types of “spiritual advisors” saying that they have the answer, but there is nothing more powerful in the world than the power of prayer. It must be a priority in our lives.

Pick up a prayer guide and use. You will find that it will be a growing experience in your walk with the Lord.
