This Sunday night we resume our study of Colossians.  This is an amazing book that speaks to us so clearly today.  Unlike most of information we get today, Paul has no spin in his letter to the Colossians.  It not only spoke to them, it speaks to us.

I have been studying the passage for Sunday and I have found a word for Oprah Winfrey, Barak Obama, John McCain, Hillary Clinton, Charles Barkley, major league baseball and a host of others.

We are a culture that is looking for information.  We have lost the desire to get accurate information.  We no longer want to hear about what is true, just what people are talking about everyday.

When we have a knowledge of the truth of scripture, then we can understand the world in which we live and help us be proactive in our culture.  The Lord has a word for you.  Bring your Bible when you come on Sunday evening.  There won’t be any “spin.”
