In a couple of days Al Phillips will be returning from a trip visiting with a number of our mission partners around the world.  He has shared how exciting it is to see what God is doing in places where we have been able to give assistance.  The results are encouraging and challenging at the same time.

They are encouraging when we see the people that are coming to Christ and the churches that are being started in places where there was no Christian witness.  In many of these places, the witness of our missions’ ministry is the only missionary that they will ever see.

The results are also challenging because there is still so much that has to be done.  There are still hundreds of millions of people around the world that have not had the chance to hear the message of the gospel.

Our prayers make a difference.  We should keep these various areas before the Lord.  God moves in response to our prayers.

Our gifts are used to help us spread the gospel.  When you give to the life of our church you are involved in missions.  Each of us has a chance to be a part owner in what God Is doing all around the world.

Our willingness to go is in response to the command of our Lord.  We have had hundreds of people go on mission trips and we are constantly getting ready to go again.

We have two groups that are leaving this week for places in Africa and Asia.  I hope that you will remember them as they go.

Let me also encourage you to  stay updated with our trip schedule through our website and missions publications.  Only then can you pray intelligently.  We must be constant prayer warriors for the people we are trying to touch and those that are going as our representatives.
