We had a tremendous crowd for our leadership event last night and it was truly a wonderful evening. There was such a great spirit and a sense of expectation of what the Lord is doing in the life of our church.  The crowed was a reflection of what we have been talking about recently.

First of all, they have a vision of what we need to do as a church in order to touch the world with the gospel.  We are not willing to stop shy of being all that God would have us to be.

Secondly, it was obvious that there has been a lot of prayer gone into this effort. So many people have mentioned to me how much they enjoyed the prayer guide and how they have been truly asking the Lord what He would have them do.

Thirdly, people are finding this to be an exercise in faith. It has caused many of us to take steps that we have never taken before. The result has been an excitement about what God is going to do in our lives individually and as a church.

Fourthly, so many are considering what it means to sacrifice in order to serve the Lord in a greater way. We are blessed with a tremendous core of leadership and it was a thrilling experience for me to be a part of the event.  In the days ahead, we will see that increase simply because of the intensity and commitment of those leaders.  It is so much fun to see God doing great things in the lives of people.
