It has been interesting in recent days to hear people share how they are seeking to find the Lord’s will in terms of Telling the Story…Touching the Future.  What this means is that we are coming to grips with what is important in our lives.  We should not be surprised that this is the case.  God’s Word clearly teaches us that our greatest battle is the battle between God and the use of our resources.  The Lord says clearly that we can’t put the Lord and our personal resources both in first place. The struggle that we are having means that we have an opportunity to grow and to stretch ourselves in terms of our relationship with Him.  After we have gone through the entire process, what we learn is that it is not about the money, it is about our heart.  We come to understand that where our heart that is where our treasure is going to be. While this is a struggle, it is one that pays great dividends. It gives us a chance to grow in our Christian life in a way that is beyond anything that we have known before. Don’t be scared or nervous when you are wrestling with this decision.. Rather we should thank the Lord that we can understand how important this task is.
