Every year we ask the missionaries that are a part of our missions conference to give us an evaluation of the conference. We ask them to do this anonymously so they can say whatever they want to say. Yesterday I read some of the evaluations and the comments were wonderful. Over and over they talked about the wonderful job our people and the Bible Fellowship classes did for them.
The things they talked about the most was the home briefings on Friday night. They enjoyed spending time with our people. They were energized and renewed by the time they spent with our classes.
Not only did we reach our financial goal and see many people consider the call to missions, we made some significant investments in the lives of missionaries. In a very real way you have made an investment in their ministry around the world. That is the way that it is supposed to work.
I know it took a lot to do that, but your commitment is amazing. Last night we met with over 125 members of the invitation team for our capital campaign, “Tell the Story… Touch the Future.” We only told them about the meeting on Sunday, but they came as another indication of their faithfulness. Most of these are group leaders in our Bible Fellowship classes. Our consultant was blown away by such a show of commitment. I am continually amazed at the dedication of our people.
We had a great meeting and in the next couple of weeks you will be hearing and seeing a lot of information about this effort. I am praying that the Lord will do a great work in our midst.
