What a tremendous missions experience we had this past week.  I cannot say enough about your response to this effort.  You were there at every event and were so supportive.  Our missionaries were overwhelmed by your love, attention, and support.  A number of them expressed to me their gratitude for what you did to make this a very special time for them.  They kept talking about your commitment, your passion, and your willingness to do whatever it takes.  Not only did we see great results in terms of our support for missions, you made some real investments in the lives of these missionaries.

We had so many that fulfilled responsibilities during the conference and I am so grateful for the way that you take every task very seriously.  Your attention to detail and dedication to the task is a clear indication of your understanding of how important our efforts are to the cause of missions.

We had a wonderful attendance.  We committed over 500,000 dollars to our faith commitment budget.  That is in addition to what we already have in our budget that we give through the Cooperative program and our local Baptist network.  We went well over our goal of 449,000.  We also had a number of people respond to the call to take the next step in becoming personally involved in missions.  It was a wonderful weekend.

One of the things that was so exciting to me was the way this just seemed to be a continuation of our “I’lltell” summer program.  That is as it should be.  We have asked our missionaries to add stories to our website, Itellthestory.com.  My prayer is that this conference will not only give us a heart for the world, but for the people around us as well.
