Preaching today at Southwestern Seminary was a great experience. The student body is very excited about serving the Lord, and they are very receptive. It was exciting to worship with these young people and to see the excitement they have for touching the world with the Gospel.

Today I ran into a young man who grew up in our church and is starting his seminary career. I also ran into a young lady who was serving as a journeyman when we did the AGM in East Asia. She remembered our people being there and was complimentary of the ministry that we had among them. I ran into a faculty member who stopped me and expressed appreciation for the care and support we have given to a close missionary friend. I talked to several others who wanted to know about our mission emphasis and others that were aware of the ministry of our church. All of these are reminders of how our ministry continues to extend beyond the borders of our property. It was truly a wonderful experience and I wish each of you could have been here to share it with me.

I want to thank you for your prayers for me today. The whole experience has reminded me of all the opportunities still before us as a church. I preached on having a mindset that focuses on the message. That is exactly what we must do and have in the days to come.
