First Day of School
Today, we had our first day of school here at Spartanburg Christian Academy. It was a great beginning. We have a number of new faculty members and a new high school and middle school principal, Rob McDonald. Everything went very smoothly. Our teachers, students and parents are ready to go. As you walked thru the halls and sat at lunch, you could feel the excitement. On Tuesday night we had a large crowd in our sanctuary looking forward to the year with great expectation.
Even as we continue to look for a school administrator, I feel great about the beginning of this school year. A lot of hard work and planning has gone into the preparation for school. Our staff and faculty have been willing to do what it takes. I am confident that the families involved with our school are going to reap the benefits.
Our goal and desire is to provide a great education in a Christian environment. We want to do more than meet certain educational requirements. We are building young people that will go forth and make a difference for Christ in so many ways.
As you pray for the ministries of our church, please remember to pray for the ministry of our school. While it is different in so many aspects, we see it as a ministry where we can make a difference in the lives of people.
