You Would Be Proud
Yesterday was a very hard and grueling day for our young people. The oppressive heat and the tremendous needs are sometime overwhelming, but you would be so proud to see kids getting down into a ten-foot hole trying to dig through solid rock in order that some of these people might have water. If the church had a well, the people would come there and it would become the center of the community. It is the strategy they are trying to use to reach the people of the community.
Yesterday, they almost completed a new children’s area for the church in Salinas Grande. At the end of the day, they fed over 400 kids and announced to them that this would be a place where they could come to Sunday School. Now they know where it is, and we believe God is going to use it.
One of the things that is so impressive about the work here is that everything has an ongoing purpose in order to build the church and make it stronger in order to touch the community. I am so proud of this team. To get to the work site yesterday, it was a 3 ½ hour bus ride. There has not been one complaint. They have a tremendous attitude and they are willing to do whatever it takes. It is the type of attitude I hope that we will have in our fellowship in every area.
