Going in Every Direction
It is amazing to see all of the things in which our people are involved. We have just had a team return from India, which was a great trip. We have another team from Singapore that is on their way home, and I hope that you will pray for their safe journey. The school auction takes place tonight. We have over 600 items for auction, and we are expecting by far the largest crowd that we have ever had. This is a major event. Our Auction Committee has done a tremendous job and there have been literally hundreds of people involved in this effort. It is much more that just raising funds for our school. It is a great opportunity for fellowship and education concerning the mission of our school. Tomorrow we have a mission training event. I would remind you that if you are interested in taking a mission trip, this training will be very valuable for you. It is from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. As a result of this training, people will go all over the world. Tomorrow night there is a gospel concert at Boiling Springs Junior High School. It is to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life and is being led by Rick McCraw. Most of the people that will be singing are a part of our church.
Sunday we continue our series on marriage and family. The title of my message is “Getting on the Same Page.” Many people do not realize how important it is to have a real spirit of partnership in marriage. It is one thing to say it, but it is another thing to do it. Many of you have taken the opportunity to invite your friends and neighbors to be a part of this series because this is something everyone needs.
It is true that we are going in every direction, and we pray that all of it is for the glory of God. I am so grateful for the way you are involved in so many different things that make a difference in the lives of people and for the Lord.
