This has been a very busy week.  We have so much that is happening.  We are finishing up “The Call to follow Christ” this week.  This has been a wonderful experience.  I took some time today to read some of the testimonies that people have written and it is very moving to see what God has done.  I have seen a lot of people grow in a very short period of time.
We should not be surprised.  When you get serious about discipleship you are going to see a difference.  I asked my group this morning if they could see any difference in their walk with the Lord as a result of this study.  At first, they were hesitant to answer.  I was not surprised.  I think that there are two reasons.
To say that we have seen growth in our lives smacks of spiritual pride.  That is not the case.  If anything has happened in our walk with Him, all the glory and credit goes to Him.

A second reason is that we are not sure that significant growth can take place in a short period of time.  Some of us have been Christians for a long time and we have become accustomed to the way we are.  Over these few weeks, many have found that not to be the case.  When we get serious about following Christ, things begin to happen and it makes a difference in everything we do.
If God has done a work in your life, you should be excited and live with the expectation that He will continue to do great things in your life.  As we talked this morning, we began to get excited about what the Lord has done and what He has for us in the future.  I hope the same is true of you.
