Last night was an incredible sight.  We had over 800 adults in the sanctuary getting ready to start the discipleship course, “The Call to Follow Christ. “ We have been overwhelmed with the response.  People are continuing to call and ask if it is too late or how they can be involved.  There is still time for you to be a part.  We have had to order more material again.  We have had to recruit more facilitators.  We have had to find more places to meet and establish some other times.  People are using it with their families and leading groups in their business.  Our young people are also using this study.

For the next several weeks we will be doing this study together.  We will be focused on the same scripture and sharing our experiences with one another.  We have people participating that have had a quiet time for years as well as those experiencing it for the first time.

Last night you could look across that great crowd and see people of every age group and every circumstance.  I saw people that are going through great crisis and challenge.  Others are coming off a mountain top experience.  Many others are somewhere in between.  All of them are taking the step to be more intentional about their walk with Christ.

We will have more books here on Sunday.  You do not want to miss this opportunity.  While I was thrilled to see people there that I did not expect, I also thought about others that would benefit so much from this effort.  The impact of this effort can be more than you can imagine.  I am looking forward to what the Lord is going to do in and through us in the days ahead.  I am excited about Sunday!
