This is one of those times when I cannot sleep.  It happens to me sometimes when I cannot get critical issue, event or decision off my mind.  I am thinking a lot about Sunday morning.  I am looking forward to beginning a new sermon series that will introduce our theme for the entire year.  Everything that we do is going to be built around this theme.  I am excited about sharing it with you in about 55 hours.  I certainly hope that you plan to be in your place in Bible fellowship and worship.  Prepare yourself to start a journey that will change your life in every way.  It will demand our dedication and a desire to develop our walk with the Lord.  Lately I have been thinking about so many people that I believe God is going to touch in a new and a fresh way in the days to come.  Make sure you are here and that you are available.

Another thing that is on my mind is our staff retreat next week.  We are going to spend some time praying and planning as we flesh out the various events of the new year.   This is a very strategic time for us.  Please pray for your staff. Pray that the Lord will  bind us together and give us great creativity and intensity.   I can assure you, that we will be working very hard and I am looking for some great things to come out of this week.

A third thing that I am excited about is the beginning of our discipleship this Wednesday.  All of us will be using the same material and it will focus on the basics of the Christian life with special emphasis on beginning a quiet time.  Imagine what is going to happen when people start to get serious about spending time with God on a daily basis.  The possibilities are staggering!  You are going to miss out on a tremendous opportunity if you are not there on Wednesday.  It is a great place to start.

Well now it is only 54 hours until Sunday morning.  I am ready for it to get here!
