I have spent the last two days at a meeting of a small group of pastors and Christian leaders sponsored by Jay Strack.  It is always a time of information, fellowship, encouragement and spiritual challenge.

Last night I had dinner with Bob Reccord and Hank Hanegraaff.  Bob Reccord has been with us on a number of occasions.  Hank is the host of “The Bible Answer Man” radio program and president of The Christian Research Institute International.  He is one of the brightest men that I have ever met.

As we were talking, Hank mentioned that he had worked with Bob at Evangelism Explosion right after becoming a Christian.  He said, “Bob you probably don’t remember it but you had a real impact on me as a young Christian.  I would write something and ask you to take a look at it.  You were a real source of encouragement.”   He has now written some 15 books and is heard daily around the world.  He is one of the finest in the world at defending the gospel in a pagan world.

God gave Bob the opportunity to touch the life of a man that has become a tremendous voice for the Lord.  As I sat there, I realized that this was a very special reminder of how we should use the opportunities that God gives us to influence others.  You never know what He is going to do with it.  I don’t know about you but I am going to look for one of those opportunities today.
