Tomorrow is Election Day

Tomorrow is a very important day in the life of our country.  While we sometimes get frustrated with all of the negativity and downright lies, we still have a tremendous opportunity when we go to the polls.

Whenever a Christian cast a vote, his or her first thought should be about voting on the basis of Christian belief.   When we vote on the basis of just what we selfishly want or what will be best just for me, we usually make a mistake.  There are some clear choices to be made tomorrow and our choices will have an impact on our country and our state.  We certainly should consider character and when the Christian values question is not so easy to answer, we should look at who else is supporting them and for what reason.  Every candidate has an agenda.  Before you go into the voting booth, pray that God will help you make the right decisions.

I do not believe that we need to pray about whether we support the marriage amendment or not.  This is a very clear choice to support values in the life of our state.  I have stated on a number occasions that I believe this is the most important issue on the ballot.  Some people get frustrated with the political process, but in this case, every Bible-believing Christian should go to the polls if for no other reason than to vote “Yes” on Amendment One.
