In two weeks we will be voting on a very important issue.  We will be voting on a constitutional amendment declaring that marriage is defined as being between one man and one woman.  This is extremely important and will have an impact on every part of our lives.

The homosexual agenda is one of the most dangerous things that we face as a culture.  On Sunday I shared “A Biblical Answer to the Same Sex Marriage Debate.”   Many of you were very encouraging and supportive, and I am grateful for your dedication to the truth.

Whenever we address this issue from a biblical perspective, we are called bigots and we are accused of being intolerant.  That is not the case.  We are simply standing for the truth.

I find that many people have been confused by a pro-homosexual attitude from a large part of the media.  It is important for us to be ready to make a defense of our position.

I would encourage you to get a CD of the message and listen to it again.  Share it with a friend and be pro-active in the days leading up to the election.   It is imperative that Christian people take a stand.  This is not a partisan issue.  It is a chance for us to express our beliefs in a political environment.  You may believe that this will pass easily.  We cannot take that for granted.  The nation will be watching and it is time for us to declare our desire as a people.
