Last week I was in the home of a couple that had been visiting our church.  On the Sunday before they had stopped me after the service and wanted to tell me how impressed they had been with the church.  They mentioned the fact that people had gone out of their way to speak and be friendly.  When they came here,  they knew no one and yet people reached out to them and made them very welcome.  They were very impressed with their Bible Fellowship class and they could not believe that people took the trouble to come and visit.  They wanted me to know how responsive you had been as a church.  They joined our church this past Sunday

Yesterday another couple introduced themselves to me.  They live in Surfside, South Carolina and travel all over the country.  They had a motor home and decided to stop and visit because they were in the area.  They told me that they had been in all types of churches, but had never been in one that was as friendly and open as ours.  They attended Bible study and could not believe how you accepted them.  They said, “People came to us from every direction and welcomed us to your church.  You can be sure that when we are in this area, we will visit again.”

Over the last several weeks,  we have been hearing some wonderful testimonies of how people have been touched by the ministry of our church, especially Bible Fellowship.  We have the most important message to share and God has given us a wonderful opportunity to share it.  He has also given to us some great tools, your love for others and commitment to the Lord.

It is impossible to manufacture that spirit in a church.  It is a part of who you are.  Thank you for touching people the way that you do.
