Yesterday was designated by Homosexuals as “National Coming Out Day”.  On the campus of USCU a festival was held sponsored by some pro homosexual groups.  They gave out t-shirts that said “Gay?  Fine by Me”.  The Bible teaches that it is not up to us to decide what is fine and what is not.  The Scripture is very clear.  There is no sanction for Homosexuality.  God never endorses it.  God never approves it and God never blesses it.

Homosexuality is a sin.  And while God hates our sin, He has a love for the sinner.  That should always be our position.  We should love the sinner but hate the sin.  The human race has proved over and over that the result of sin is never profitable. When God has spoken and He has on this issue, we have no right to change what He has said.

The homosexual agenda is one of the most dangerous threats to our culture.  History tells us that with the rise of homosexuality, the life of a nation is damaged.

As Christians, it is time for us to have a coming out day.  With an attitude of love and grace, we should be taking a clear stand on this issue.  The Lord has taught us to be salt and light.  The salt sometimes irritates and the light penetrates the darkness.  Yes, when you stand for truth in our culture you may be called narrow, a bigot, or a gay basher.  Our responsibility is not to this world but to our Lord.  The Lord will honor your stand for Him.

Yesterday, we had some students praying for those that have been harmed by the sin of homosexuality. I am so proud of them and their desire to be faithful to the truth of God’s Word. They are examples to us all.  We should be coming out and taking our stand for the truth of God’s Word.
