I am always thinking about ways that we can touch the world for Christ.  With our approaching mission conference, it is in my thinking even more.  There are so many out there that need to hear the gospel.  These are not just in foreign countries, but just around the corner.  As followers of Christ, it is our responsibility to see that that they have that opportunity.

Like you, I have a very busy day planned.  There are so many things that have to be done.  It would be easy for me to check them off my list and feel satisfied with my efforts.  Sometimes when we find ourselves in the midst of a busy day, we delude ourselves into thinking that we are really doing something important, when we are really just passing the time.

Today is not just another day.  It is the only day that we have.  What are you going to do today that will move you closer to Christ, touch the life of another or make a difference in eternity.  It starts with a desire to be closer to Him.  No matter what you have to do today, your desire should be to be closer to the Lord at the end of the day than you are now.

I can tell you from experience, the greater the number of items on your list, the more you want to make sure that you take care of number one and that is spending time with Him.  Today is the only day that I have and walking with Him is the only way I can do something meaningful with it.
