There are all types of ways that you can be involved and make a difference for the Lord.
We are beginning a new semester in Discipleship and there is something for everyone.  It is thrilling to see people go into a class that is clearly taking another step in their walk with the Lord. They come out of those classes better equipped and with a confidence that they can make a difference.  I have seen it happen over and over.
We are beginning the year for our children on Wednesday nights with a special beginning that we are calling Awana on Mission. This is going to be an exciting and fun learning time for our kids.  It will lead up to our Global Impact Conference in September and serve as a great beginning for the Awana program for the coming year.
By the way, we constantly need committed people to work in Awana.  These kids deserve our best.  If you are looking for a very simple but powerful way to make a difference, serving in Awana is the place for you.  It is not difficult, it only takes an interest in kids and a willingness to serve.
Our Global Impact Conference is only a month away.  As a part of that week, we will have the Missionary Commissioning Service for the International Mission Board here in our church on that Wednesday night. We will see 89 missionaries commissioned to go around the world.  People will come from all across the country to be a part of that service.  You need to do anything you have to do to make sure you can be here that week. It will have a great impact on all of us.
Our choir and orchestra have begun preparations for the Twin Living Christmas Trees.  If you would like to be a part of this great ministry, now is the time to get involved.
All of this revolves around our Bible study and worship.  Look for those with needs.  Invite them to be a part of your Bible study class.  Share with them what God is doing in your life.  They are looking for answers and they are not finding them in this world.  In our everyday life, we must declare the truth.
I am looking forward to Sunday.The point of the message is so powerful and we are going to have a wonderful worship experience.
