We have a group of 66 senior high kids and adults that are in Nicaragua building a church, doing evangelism, leading sports camps, and doing community surveys.  They are working with Wallace and Kim Nix who head up Chosen Children Ministries.  The Lord is doing some wonderful things in that country through Chosen Children.  We have been very active in this ministry and we have been able to make a real difference in that country for the Lord.

This will be a life-changing experience for these young people.  It will change their perspective of the world.  They will learn how fortunate they are and for some, it will be the first time they have ever shared their faith with someone else.

These young people are able to have this opportunity because of the support of our entire church family.  It is just another example of the fact that when one part of our church is involved in touching others for Christ, each of us has a personal part in it.

While they are there, we have a responsibility here.  This trip is well-planned and our kids are in great hands, but we should also be prayer warriors.  Please put them at the top of your prayer list.  Pray for their safety.  Pray that the trip will go as planned and most of all pray that God will not only move in the hearts of the people their but that this will be a revolutionary experience for our kids.

We have planned for this to be a step forward for these young people.  This should be a reminder that each of us needs to be looking for the next step in our lives.  There is an opportunity out there that is waiting on you.
