For a number of years I have been doing a month of devotionals for Bill Drake in the morning.  Yesterday I recorded the ones for May.  I had to prepare 23 devotionals that are 60-90 seconds long.

This is not an easy preparation.  IT is tough to say anything in such a short period of time.  You have to realize that you are talking to someone that is usually in the middle of preparing for their day.  You also want to try to be relevant and give them some type of guidance for the day.

I usually try to use illustrations or experiences that they can relate to.  I don’t know who I am talking to.  I am just trying to plant a seed that I hope God will use in their lives in some way.

I don’t know about these devotionals, but I do know that God does use short encounters or conversations that we have with people.  What you say and do says more and means more than you realize.  You will have some of those opportunities today.  Make the most of them.
