Family Wedding
I have one sister, Pam who is married to an attorney in Jesup Ga. She and Kenny are a great witness in that community.
This weekend I had the opportunity to perform the wedding of my niece Kori, there in Jesup. I have never done a wedding for a family member. It was an exciting and special time for our whole family. We also had a family birthday party for my mother who has just turned 80. I am so fortunate to have a godly set of parents. They have been and continue to be such a blessing and source of encouragement.
Our family doesn’t get to be together very often, so we are grateful for every opportunity. It is always a reminder of how we need to take advantage of such events in our lives.
At the same time I missed being at our church. When I am away, I run into people that always talk to me about their church. Every time that happens it makes me more excited about the ministry that we have.
I have already been told about the great job that the members of staff did in filling the pulpit. We are blessed with a great group of staff members who are gifted in many areas and committed to the task of touching people with the gospel.
It was a great weekend, but I am glad to be back home and I am looking forward to all that we can accomplish together this very week.
