Staying Connected

Yesterday was a long day.  Last night I was trying to think of one other thing that I could accomplish before I went to bed.  It was too late to make any more calls and there was not enough time to take on a long project.  I wanted to do everything I could to get a jump on today.  I find that it is so easy to get caught up in what you are doing that you lose the big picture.  During my quiet time in the morning, I continually ask the Lord to help me keep the big picture, the right perspective.

Yesterday, I was reading in Joshua 1 about the Lord preparing the people of to move into the promised land.  Three times God told Joshua, “be strong and courageous”.  He also said to him, “I will not forsake you”.  Johnny Jackson pointed that out to me when we were talking in our staff meeting. That is a very important point.  He commands us to be strong and courageous, but He does not ask us to do it alone.  He is not going to leave his children alone.  That is very encouraging when you feel you are about to be swept away by the demands of the day.

I have another full day today and I probably won’t be able to accomplish all I want to get done, but I serve a risen Savior and He is in control.  When we keep Him on the throne of our lives, we can make it because He will never forsake us.

Have A Great Day!
